Careers and internships
Career Services
Faulkner’s Career Services Office helps students and alumni reach their internship, job, and long-term career goals, with one-on-one appointments, career fairs, and résumé help.
Finding an internship
Start early. Talk with Career Services and your academic advisor, and let your professors know what you’re looking for. Many internships come through people who already know your work.
Watch for the career fairs Career Services hosts during the year.

Get involved
Gamma Iota Sigma
Faulkner has a chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma, approved by the organization’s Board of Trustees in March 2026 and now working toward its chartering ceremony. Gamma Iota Sigma chapters promote student interest in careers in insurance, risk management, and actuarial science. Ask your risk management and insurance faculty how to get involved.

Using AI in your courses
- Follow each assignment’s AI instructions. If an assignment doesn’t say, ask your professor before you use AI.
- Sign in to Microsoft Copilot with your Faulkner account for coursework.
- Never paste grades, ID numbers, other students’ names, or personal information into an AI tool.
- When AI helps, be ready to say how: which tool, what you asked, and what you kept.
- Check what it tells you. AI can sound sure and still be wrong.
AI tools for studying
